hey, i just wanted to say, i AM a computer graphics designer. and i do use linux. there are still some design isues to overcome but i think that on the whole, it is amaseing what they have done so far. and with the head companies putting their weight behind the codeing of porpritary and opensource software we are going to see what they have been pioneering within our own linux distros within the next 2 to 3 years!
the cool thing about linux is, it can actually handle the heavy work load of rendering without crashing. you can now do on a free os what use to cost a ton of money. when i build my axnimation studio i plan to build it from the ground up with linux.
