I live in a small town in the northern part of Norway , and the major ISP's doesn't even take us into consideration when it comes to better connection avaiablility than ISDN and modem speeds , but fortunatly I will get my 2 Mbit connection in a few days because of a small WISP that has established itself as the only ISP that will deliver "broadband" connection to people living in the northern "outskirts" of Norway.
Most people that knows about this opportunity will instantly take the offer because there is no other viable alternatives.
For only about 400 NOK (about 60$) a month I can get a far better connection than many other people that have got cable or A/SDSL. Of course there will be stability and speed problems and not to forget that people can easily sniff you traffic , but there are no other alternative.
I'm just incredibly happy that someone has understood that there are money to be made in a very though IT-market by filling these niches.
A niche
