mk2fs deletes all the data on a partition, not simply recreating the partition. For instance you can remove a partition, then recreate a partition at the exact same starting point on the disk and your data will be there... just don't reformat it!<nobr> <wbr></nobr>:) In some instances that has been the only way I could increase a partition size correctly for ext3.
