You don't know what you are talking about and are spreading FUD (fear, Uncertainty, Doubt); the article is correct.

Deleting a partition table does not touch your data.
It only changes your ability to access that data.

If you recreate a partition at the same start with the same type you are fine.

Just be careful that you don't have the partition mounted!
