Use LVM

As others have pointed out, the Logical Volume Manager is the only way to go for resizing, expanding, changing filesystems. Mandrake provides its wonderful diskdrake tool that makes it very easy and intuitive to use.

This is much more sensical. Read a bit about LVM and you will be gladly surprised. Very intuitive and very useful.
