the official <A HREF="http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/LVM-HOWTO/index.html" TITLE="tldp.org">LVM HOWTO</a tldp.org> on the <A HREF="http://www.tldp.org/" TITLE="tldp.org">linuxdoc project</a tldp.org> is a start. with that, and hardcopies of the man pages, it should be possible to get a handle on converting an existing installation to LVM - though the easiest way is to set it up during installation; Red Hat at least has support for doing that, Mandrake might need a bit more cajoling.


(hardcopies of the man pages, you ask? well, install the LVM utilities - a single RPM package, in my case - then "man -t commandname > command.ps" and print out at your leisure.)
