The only jobs threatened by open-source are those involved with producing popular, packaged off-the-shelf items like operating systems, office productivity suites, software development packages, etc. Believe it or not those are a tiny minority of the total programmer population. Most are working on custom packages, in-house development, software for very specialized markets, contract jobs, and support. We'll do just fine. Don't worry.
