Er, actually, he would be allowed to
copy the car, except for the "Chevy"
badges, and the badges for the model
of the car. (In other words, he
wouldn't be able to make "Chevy
Impalas", because of Trademarks.)
Hm, he actually might be able to use
the original names, too, as long as
he was giving the cars away, and not
doing it for profit.

Patents are not for forever. (Unlike
copyrights.)
