You are assuming that someone did this for the Linux community. While it is certainly possible, do not jump to conclusions unless you know it for certain. What reflects badly is not a virus which DDoS's SCO, but members of the Open Source community pointing fingers without evidence. Of course, I assume that you don't know any more about it than the rest of us.
