The Daniel Robbins article series is good but still doesn't address the exact stuff in this article. His method is still not automated enough for system-wide administration, especially when you're talking about hundreds of systems whereas Steve's works very well for large-scale administration. Bottom line is that if you're looking for a one-off solution that will be just used by you and your playground Linux box then ssh-agent is fine, but if you have to do a lot of administration then Steve's is the way to go.
