Ummm... yes. That's how checks and balances work. That is not "considering yourself immune". Remember, there is a lot of non-problems that the congress is playing against Ashcroft. Basically, any question that the president asks Ashcroft is being turned into an issue, no matter why the question was asked or what the answer is. For example, the question "Please let me know what the legal limits of interrogation are so that we are sure not to cross them accidentally" becomes "Bush condones torture". It's pretty absurd, really.
