If tests under DragonFly and tests under FreeBSD-5 were both run on a uniprocessor machine with SMP disabled, the benchmarks would be valid because the machine state would be the same for each.
Were there no non-hyperthreading machines around to benchmark on? The review hinted that other machines were available to test on.
