Again, another person who feels that two posts on a news site represent the entire community. This is getting ridiculous and tiresome. I'd like to point out that most of the other posts here simply state things that Jem could have done to write a better article and give steps to people to overcome the problems which he experienced (which caused him to write an article that amounts to little more than: ``I couldn't figure out how to make the thing work, but it boots, so they must be doing something right, good job, blokes!'').
Another person clearly and kindly stated what he could have done to overcome these problems, was personally attacked on this public forum by Jem himself, and posted another kind post with extended information and a request to change his attitude, towards which Jem was unprofessional again.
Newbies are fine. Dissention is fine as long as it is correct. This wasn't correct, and Jem was later hostile towards corrections. Perhaps you should join #DragonFlyBSD sometime on EFNet. We're a great community.
