Everyone knows that software installation/configuration is a big problem for non-technical Linux user adoption. Even tools like apt-get, emerge and urpmi have their problems (not least that they rely on the item you want to install being in a repository you can find).
I for one applaud efforts to find solutions to this situation; I can't believe that people in the Linux community are attacking this sort of initiative. It may not be the solution; but it sounds like a move in the right direction.
