I've been proposing the idea that A/V companies and virus writers have a symbiotic (and possibly even a direct) relationship to each other for years.
The funny thing is that my gechnical-support colleagues bob their heads up and down when I say it, but nobody seems to have any sense of how to address it.
Maybe that's because everyone in the US has "the gets" these days, and are waiting for when they "get theirs."
When I saw my corporate bosses going in for tools that required subscriptions and periodic updates to control spam, I knew what was going on right away.
If there's a Devil, and he buys souls, he's got to be forking out an awful lot of money these days....
