What is it with OSX that makes people fawn over it so much. I work beside a mac guy, and OSX's vaunted interface looks like a fancy version of CDE (How come no one has noticed it? Its almost identical looking!) and its fonts looked worse then mine on Linux anyway. Lousy theming support and the universes most overrated GUI.
Its not even nice looking, its just a combination of the usual Mac look and CDE. Its fonts are just the same as everyone else has, nothing new or magically better about them. Make sure your fonts are setup correctly, and take a close look. The method used to antialias might be different, but linux's renderings are by no means whatsoever inferior.
