I know that you can use rss feeds as bookmarks in firefox, but I haven't tried it yet.
The main advantage of services like bloglines is that since they are web-based, you can read your feeds anywhere (as I write in the article).
Obviously that would be a feature of my yahoo as well. Again, I haven't tried that tool either. However, I would suspect that bloglines offers a lot more "power user" features than my yahoo. For example, you can export a list of your feeds in OPML format and then import that into another newsreader. Does Yahoo offer that?
