IT managers find it helpful to augment their IT staff with us; they accomplish an objective without putting extra burden on his staff or encurring excessive cost.
The client really wins because we know that he can go elswhere for business as the underlying technology is open.
In effect, we've differentiated ourselves by providing expert services, quality implementation, and "clean" solutions. By taking the, "if we get hit by a truck you're still covered" mentality, businesses feel more comfortable hiring us and not having to worry about problems as we constantly keep them updated.
On the "nuts and bolts" side, once we have a server up on the network (or hosted on-site), we can run it remotely; we save the client money by not incurring drive time costs.
