I read this thinking the same thing. How many people are managing multi-user systems where all the users are on the command-line? My guess is not that many. I was looking forward to an article that mentioned how to communicate with users via the gui, and not e-mail (E-mail is awesome, but at the same time if I'm warning the users we're shutting down for upgrades in 10 minutes and to save all data, I don't want to depend on the user checking his e-mail to find out this information.). So, if anyone has any suggestions as to do this, I'm sure an article like that posted here would be very beneficial to a lot of users.
