Actually, in the example only the last two commands are the ones used - the ones above are used for establishing the repositories. So this is what a Deb user would already have done by editing<nobr> <wbr></nobr>/etc/apt/sources.list. One could argue that "sudo/su urpmi filename" is actally a faster command than "sudo/su apt-get install filename". With Mandrake's "urpmi --auto-select" you get the same effect as with dist-upgrade.
