The NetBSD developers forget to mention this, but NetBSD's KQueue code is straight from FreeBSD. I saw recently that NetBSD had integrated OpenPAM from FreeBSD, so it sounds like they're benefiting a lot from being able to take code straight from FreeBSD. Since they seem interested in the security stuff, I wonder if there's any chance they'll pick up some of the other TrustedBSD pieces, like MAC.
KQueue is actually from FreeBSD
