I am always amazed at how closed minded some people are when it comes to Windows. It is unfair to draw any conclusions about Win32-based builds without doing the proper benchmarking. That is the purpose of benchmarking - to see how a system performs under certain conditions. It would be very useful to benchmark MySQL under Windows, perhaps even under different Windows versions instead of having people just post their opinions on the subject.
