Just an excerpt, not the whole coverage of the sub

Hey everyone, this is just one excerpt from the book, and not the only coverage the author provides on thin clients. He has a whole chapter that talks about X, VNC, and RDP. He includes instructions on creating a PXEs server to provide connections via all three methods. I especially like his instruction on how to make VNC listen on specific ports so you don't have to start vncserver in advance to make a connection. Makes it great to have users connect at will over the Internet.

In short, this excerpt sucks in comparison to the other great information he provides about thin clients later in the book, this was just a very small portion of an introductory chapter.

He also provides stellar coverage of Samba, one of the best descriptions of PAM and beginning LDAP I've read, and I love his instructions for authenticating Linux boxes off a Windows Domain.
