NX Server on Windows

My understanding is that NX served from Windows just wouldn't be possible. NX is all about doing fancy things with X11 - it's not in the business of GDI hooks and such that ICA/RDP are. My personal understanding is that a "Windows NX server" would be totally different to a "UNIX NX server" to a similar extent that NX is different from ICA.

That said, I haven't looked into it in detail.

The other issue you'd face would be that you'd still have to pay CALs for your Windows remote users, no matter what remote access technology you use. Fantastic, isn't it...

I'm currently running raw X11 terminals at work for our more basic users. They don't need access to any windows apps, and it's been working well. Unfortunately, that little issue with small & semi-custom software vendors in vertical markets is beginning to get to me as I look for a replacement for our extremely ancient and troublesome terminal-based accounts system (runnning on SCO OpenServer emulating Microsoft Xenix - it's ooooold). Wish I had a good fix for that problem...
