Hey we run a enterprise linux desktop installation well over 400 clients running across 5 servers and we don't use nx and we don't use ltsp all we run is simple redhat servers with xdmp turned on that is all that is needed. We run sap client on the most of them and use neoware thin clients and it works just great. In fact the uptime is near perfect and we don't have to worry about a virus outbreak stopping manufacturing...and this just happend three days ago entire office went down with a infection manufacturing never noticed. LTSP is not needed, way to frigging complicated. The X protocol is plenty efficient it puts only a 5 % load on the nic at the very most.
