I tried the Balance notebook a while back. The first one I ordered had a bad pixel in the screen. I sent it back and asked for another. The second one had two bad pixels. I gave up after the second one. Moral of the story? Look carefully for bad pixels: these seem to be screens that didn't pass quality control at the manufacturer and were maybe sold cheap to Balance.
