I am also one of those people who wonder whether RMS is 'right' i.e 'correct' or not. But time and again he has been proven to be 'correct' and those of us who are willing to compromise, proven 'wrong'. Maybe it is time to give his approach the default benefit of the doubt. Eternal coding is the price of freedom?
