There also is NewsFox @ http://newsfox.mozdev.org This looks like the Thunderbird RSS-reader, but uses Firefox. If XulRunner really takes off these kind of extensions could actually become standalone RSS-readers and attract more users who did not yet use Firefox before.
When you name Lektora, you should also name OnFolio. However, both are commercial extensions.
I have used NewsMonster for some time, but found it too much for my needs. It is a very complete RSS-system, but if I remmeber correctly also uses some Java in its backend.
