There's a pile of Linux-for-Windows CDs and DVDs ('What do you get when you cross an open-source PC emulator with a live linux CD') here

Just put one in, it autoruns. No privilege needed. Treats Windows like a NAT-router-firewall.

And when you've played with the toy enough, and figured out what it can do, then you can boot it 'real'. No need to throw away the CD.
