Trying Linux

There's a pile of Linux-for-Windows CDs and DVDs ('What do you get when you cross an open-source PC emulator with a live linux CD') here
<a href="http://home.btconnect.com/chrisandcarolyn/torrents/" title="btconnect.com">http://home.btconnect.com/chrisandcarolyn/torrent<nobr>s<wbr></nobr> /</a btconnect.com>

Just put one in, it autoruns. No privilege needed. Treats Windows like a NAT-router-firewall.

This one <a href="http://home.btconnect.com/chrisandcarolyn/santaspecial.png" title="btconnect.com">http://home.btconnect.com/chrisandcarolyn/santasp<nobr>e<wbr></nobr> cial.png</a btconnect.com> is a bit off-season now<nobr> <wbr></nobr>... unless you are in Australia, of course<nobr> <wbr></nobr>... but yes, you do get animated Santa and snow on the virtual wallpaper. GamesKnoppix 3.7-0.1 for Windows.

And when you've played with the toy enough, and figured out what it can do, then you can boot it 'real'. No need to throw away the CD.
