Pick up a Brother P-Touch at staples or officemax.
You can use it to lable all your systems. (Having host names and serial numbers on the front AND back of rackmounted systems is a nice touch.)
Make sure you get a model that has a manual cutter. If you print your cable lable twice, before cutting, you can fold it over to place a white, flag like lable on the cable.
Just having one available makes labling "almost" automatic.
