Personally I use Comcast.
They don't advertise as being Linux friendly, but it works with Linux pretty much "out of the box"; All one has to do is plug it in and the DHCP server kicks in. That about covers it.
They don't officially support Linux but all the techies I've talked to so far have a good idea what it is.
As long as I've used them, they've had great uptime and performance too, it's pretty much always working. I've used like 4 different DSL providers before them and they all went dead pretty much all the time.
