Since there are so many choices of audio players, I looked long and hard before deciding on the Neoros. The selling points for me were the open source tools (NDBM and others) that let me manage it from Linux, along with support for ogg, though ogg support has been buggy at times. It's also nice to have an FM tuner, something the ipods don't offer. The Neuros is more geeky and clunky than an ipod, but so am I.
Love my Neuros II
