Not much was said about the other 160-bit algorithms. Tiger and Whirlpool have serious performance problems when compared to SHA-1. RIPEMD-160 is similar in performance (to SHA-1) with some comparisons ranking it faster and some ranking it slower. But RIPEMD is one of the algorithms Dr. Wang's team has found problems with (along with the MD/SHA families) so I would suggest that SHA-1 and RIPEMD are pretty much in the same boat.
