I am part of the Trac development team so I'm very happy to see the project getting some press coverage, though I noticed a few things that are not quite up to date.
This article appears to have been written based on the 0.8.4 release, though I'm happy to annouce that 0.9 was released on October 31st and features many new fixes and enhancements.
Contrary to the article please do not use versions of pysqlite less than 1.0. The 0.8.x releases of Trac support pysqlite 1.0 or 1.1 and Trac 0.9 also supports pysqlite 2, as well as new support for Postgresql as an alternative database backend.
Trac 0.9 also provides a brand new plugin system that will provide new ways for users to extend the system to meet their needs. There is a <a href="http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/wiki/PluginList" title="edgewall.com">list of existing plugins</a edgewall.com> on the Trac site.
See the <a href="http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/wiki/ChangeLog" title="edgewall.com">Trac changelog</a edgewall.com> for a list of other changes in the new version.
