Xandros is a fine OS, I have the 3.0 OCE on one of my partitions at home. As you said, the install is 4 clicks and the whole thing is highly polished.
Using Xandros drew me to into the Debian world -- Debian proper and its offspring like Knoppix, Mepis, and Damn Small Linux. I really dig these LiveCD distros (pioneered by Knoppix) that you can install to a hard disk or USB pendrive.
I am working on creating my own remastered version of Knoppix for travel and rescue needs. Sweet!
