Encrypted partitions undoubtly sounds very cool and interesting. That maybe even can provide security against someone with psysical access?
Yes, with the usual caveats: strong password/passphrase to prevent someone brute forcing (or guessing!) access, and that you don't forget that token or you're screwed in an unenjoyable way...
