Hmm

I think that everyone is a little scared. The most used software license is going to get a new version for the first time in over 10 years.

But the industry has changed alot (especially due to lobby organisations trying to push forward ludicrous stupid things like software patents).

Maybe we need to adjust to this and make a new license.

Eitherway, just because there is a GPLv3 does not mean that GPLv2 will stop exist.

Now people talk about FSF and Debian and wether they are needed or not. Eitherway they are very important and we should be thankful we have them. Debian have helped alot, in many ways even though different from other organisations who have also helped alot, but sometimes in other ways.

The FSF is the cornerstone, it started this, the whole thing, the whole free software community. And that is the thing that I love about Linux.

Debian has spreaded Linux alot to many people, and is one of the major distributions and I think that it is great that they have the DFSG, so that it is more than just a collection of software put together into a distribution.

Ubuntu is fastly getting ground too, and getting much respectable in the Linux community.

Red Hat has not done much in free software, but they made Linux avaible to the enterprise, to the companies/corporations. They helped Linux alot too (but in different ways).

FSF and Debian is great!
