Consider all of the advancement in the Linux desktop in recent years. It is in part due to the competion betweem projects that has motivated these innovations. This is the greatest strength and some might say, greatest weakness of open source. In the end, it provides a unique environment were the best will rise to the top. In this case the top spot continues to change. I love it!
