That's my point. OpenLDAP, with Samba integration, can be a pain if you're not very comfortable with RTFM'ing and putting in the time. It is emphatically not pointy-and-clicky to set up and make work. That's the problem with otherwise terrific software. Once set up, it is excellent, but getting it there can be a challenge.

However, someone did indeed write up a pretty good guide. A fellow named David Trask up in Maine put one together, and that helped me to learn how in a reasonable amount of time. Here is a link.
