It's just plain insulting and obnoxious to tune into comments and see a rant against the very foundation of the fine site of NewsForge.
Unless you are dead serious about making a substantial donation to the site you'd better leave them do business their way. Believe me--they are quite good at that. What's more they seem not to be in any desperate need for unsolicited unqualified comments, or for one--rants.
But first and foremost, please do get at least some facts on Privoxy, Proxomitron, Adblock, FiltersetG or any other piece of Software built with the purpose to help you see the content of the page you are visiting.
If you can use a browser, you can set up a HTML Proxy and put it to good use, so please do it now. Yes, it might take some reading, and even (ehem!) thinking, but this is what we call education.
