Nice idea, but...

...there's always the same issue here that WINE suffers from. Namely, if closed source plug-in companies (hey, Adobe, I'm looking at you and your Flash plug-in) see this, they'll try to use it as an (yet another) excuse not to produce 64-bit versions of their plug-ins.

We still need to maintain the pressure on plug-in companies to produce native 64-bit versions alongside their 32-bit ones (and not months or years apart).

Heck, it's hard enough trying to persuade *any* of these useless companies to produce Linux plug-ins to match their Windows equivalent - look at the disgraceful state of Adobe's Flash now. Version 9 is out for Windows and Macintosh, but Linux (which has the same number of users as the Macintosh, remember!) is stuck at Version 7! A complete scandal, IMHO.
