you posted this on Christmas day and you already missed any sort of celebration for Hanukkah so what other religious holidays are there to warrant saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas? And how long does this "season" last that you mention? The US gov't and the majority of the US population (as well as over a 1/3 of the world population) celebrate Christmas and everyone celebrates New Year's (except those offended by new years) so what's wrong with a "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays"?
