Welcome to my nightmare.
I was happy until a pro-Windows guy was promoted to my boss. He's not very brilliant and he's proud of it!!
It's the kind of guy who hates nerds and he'll torpedo any, I mean any free software use, not just Linux.
In government such guys have a lot of room to expand, no shareholder is watching to get the guy kicked.
Linux is gaining ground, no doubt, but it must happen on cash-strapped companies. Wherever money can be found, proprietary sellers guard buyers like hyenas on a carcass. And you can't fight stupid buyers, because the minute you come up with a free software that outperforms traditional proprietary ones they start the old chant: "there's no free lunch".
Bull.
There _are_ free lunches. And idiots who miss them because they choose so.
