We are just starting down this road too. We have a mix of systems, AIX, Solaris and RH Linux. The person investigating it is looking into using kerberos authentication instead of LDAP. We need to integrate with AD. We have 200+ servers with no previous directory services in place. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix up multiple users having the same user id, groups with the same group id, users with multiple user id's on different systems. It's a huge problem for us. I'd prefer LDAP as it seems to be a more universal solution than kerberos. I'd like to be able to use it to authenticate our users who log into our helpdesk with mod_auth_ldap. Any more reasons to go with LDAP versus kerberos?
