I did an upgrade of my main box from FC1 to FC2 and it was slick as a brick. There were some things that needed to be tweeked after the upgrade and one or two issues that would need addressing but I planed ahead for all of them (except one) and it ended up fairly simple.
Some of the things that helped for me were I don't use GNOME or KDE (Xfce4 only) and I bought OSS for my sound. There was a patch I had to get to make VMware run and a few other little things that I solved by reading the release notes.
The only thing that I can't get working is xconsole. I set the permissions for /dev/console like I have for previous RH and FC1 but I get "Can't open console". Not a critical issue, really, so I haven't done much to get it fixed.
If I had the time I'd write something on what I did to prepare before the upgrade and the little things to look for after.
