Couldn't help but notice

That there is no mention of migrating the userbase over.. That alone will make the task of migration very difficult especially when the userbase is large. Resetting everyone's password is not a very friendly solution and you can expect a flood of support calls during the transition. Migrations in this case are never fast, and should be done slowly i.e. one department at a time and not moving on until most of the major problems have bene solved. Do a complete total cost analysis comparing Windows to Linux. Do not forget to factor in lost or slowed down productivity when your Windows users switch to Linux.
