also the so called error in porthole "We found some command line errors relating to pycrash and gpm" is wrong
pycrash is only needed for debugging purposes maybe if you were developing modules for porthole so of corse it's not installed by default.
gpm is for using mouse in runlevel3 so maybe porthole can be run from framebuffer or some other type interface without X but neither one of these are errors. It just means those packages aren't installed.
