Hey, I was a pretty happy gentoo user, too. It bugged me that I had to build all the packages from source - especially when installing a workstation. I switched about a year ago though. I am now using Archlinux, which is pretty similar to gentoo. It's package management is similar but uses prebuild packages. Maybe you should try it and it might be the right one for you too! Anyway - I hate the war different distro users fight - everybody like a different one!!! Thats the answer in my eyes Have fun, Henne
