You knock Xlite for being Windows only but fail to note that applications like Kiax are Linux or, more accurately, KDE only.
This is most likely not true. The homepage did mention Qt as a requirement, but not KDE. From the screenshots page, it does not look like an application for KDE either. And it is even mentioned that it runs under Gnome as well as under KDE. Quite possible that it runs under other platforms for which Qt is available too. Especially given the fact that it does use the Iaxclient library just like the Iaxcomm application you mention.
