So I'm a little confused here -- why would you then even include X-Lite as a viable member in this gang of four, and yet not include the ubiquitous Skype program which
is mature and field-proven worldwide
works with Linux and those other operating systems
connects to land-line callers inbound and outbound
can be pure soundcard software or use a USB handset
is also only 'free beer', but it's good free beer.
It would seem to me that if we are talking about business uses here, then we really should including the industry leader in the mix, and point out where the upstarts match, miss or exceed it's capabilities.
Working with Linux ... so why not Skype?
